909 Stream: looking for the doors instead of breaking through the walls
How I ended up streaming 9 hours for 109 people. Didn't plan btw.
Yesterday, I embarked on an adventurous journey that stretched the limits of my live music streaming on Twitch. For 9 hours and 9 minutes, immersed myself in a continuous stream of music, testing my endurance and determination. Today, I wanted to share the entire experience with you on my blog.
What inspired me to undertake this lengthy stream? Well, it all began when I witnessed
MANINNA_NOOR performing an impressive 8+ hour stream (Great Music and stream aesthetics btw). Their dedication and stamina left me in awe, and I couldn't help but feel motivated to challenge myself... What surrounding yourself with right people does to you... So! I wanted to see if I could keep up with such standard, and thus, the idea of this marathon stream was born.
To make it happen, I only needed a small adjustment in my setup. Essentially, I required a longer cable for my headphones so I could move around the room more freely. As standing in one spot for 5 hours straight was the most exhausting thing to me. So I started to look for a cable.
But my search for the cable extension took an unexpected turn. The extension turned out to be more costly than I anticipated, which surprised me. However, as I contemplated this purchase, I stumbled across a pair of headphones that I saw in YouTube Review the other day, wasn't perfect, far from it actually, but a longer wire , somewhat wider frequencies range, and bigger capsules. It was slightly more expensive than the cable extension itself.
I must admit, it wasn't a decision I had planned to make, and part of me felt hesitant about spending the money. However, considering the potential for enhanced streaming and better music experiences, I took a risk.
A majority of my gear is purchased through that method, as I simply require something efficient and affordable in order to make invested money back, ideally before my flat rent bills kick in. It essentially serves as my survival strategy in the music field.
I have obtained what I required, adjusted the frame to include more space so that I can move around comfortably, and initiated the stream.
The moment I put on those headphones and began to play, I felt a stronger connection to the music. I noticed new details and nuances, and it amazed me how much these headphones improved my overall experience in sharing and enjoying music.
As the marathon stream progressed, I was humbled by the support from the Twitch community. The raids from Earth's Last Echoes and LadyJALINA, as well as the 111 viewers who joined us, filled the room with an uplifting energy that motivated me to keep going, even as time seemed to slip away.
Throughout this experience, I couldn't help but reflect on how a simple search for a cable extension led me to discover something much more valuable - not just better headphones, but also a deeper understanding of perseverance and dedication.
To me, this 909 livestream holds several lessons. It emphasizes the importance of surrounding yourself with people who inspire and challenge you to step outside your comfort zone. It also underscores the significance of being helpful and receiving support from the community, as I don't think I would have completed it without the support of Earth's Last Echoes and LadyJALINA. I truly appreciate what they did for me during that stream. Another lesson is to think strategically about the challenges ahead. Sometimes, outsmarting your challenges is more important than trying to overpower them. It's crucial to ask yourself - what can I do to make it possible, and what can help me achieve this? In my case, mobility proved to be an essential element in improving the quality and comfort of my streams. It's like searching for a door instead of trying to break through walls. Essentially, it boils down to a simple formula - think about what you want, figure out how you can get it, and identify what can assist you in achieving it.
