Electronox : The Path of self-made

The remarkable thing about following your passions is that often, you find yourself misunderstood and underestimated by many, year after year. Determining your own path in life demands a level of competence that surpasses that of others. It's undeniably challenging, yet incredibly rewarding. Each obstacle and hardship encountered along the way serves to mold you into a stronger and wiser individual.

You can always spot a person who truly decides where they want to go, because every single day they passionately determine how they will get there. It's not a simple task, in this ever-evolving world that seems to change so rapidly. So that puts you into position where you need to think fast, learn to say no to the things that are not essential for you to reach your destination. This kind of lifestyle will forges people into a strong and creative individuals. Speaking of which...

Meet Adam Cookson, aka Electronox. At 22 years old, Adam is a student who has a genuine love for music. While creating music is currently his hobby, his ultimate goal is to turn it into his profession. Adam pursued audio production at university and his enthusiasm lies in crafting music that appeals to casual listeners, as well as being suitable for films, games, and other media platforms.

What makes Adam really stand out is his love for making unique sounds and crafting chill tracks with Ableton. You can actually get in on the action by joining him during his live streaming sessions, also you can take a peek at his music on Spotify and Bandcamp.

Music generated income is what fuels his dreams and aspirations, igniting a spark of passion within his very soul. Every tip and subscription he receives on Twitch becomes an investment in his musical journey, paving the way for him to reach new heights in his career. With unwavering determination, he puts his hard-earned earnings back into refining his sound, pushing the boundaries of his artistic craft. The love for his music drives him forward, as he channels every ounce of his being into pursuing a future filled with melodic magic.

I usually call this kind of approach  "survival plan". It involves reducing expenses and investing most of one's earnings back into their craft. Initially, it may not feel pleasant, but it gradually instills discipline and helps discern what truly constitutes a necessity. Many things we perceive as essential turn out to be not actually needed.

Speaking of his music, Adam just dropped his new album, you can find it on all the streaming platforms like Bandcamp, Spotify, and other big ones. This is actually his second album, he already came out with "Odyssey" and "Traversal Through Space and Time.

Aside from music, Adam is also actively involved in video game projects. He has collaborated with a developer called The Glowing Pond on a game called Secret Meadow, where he composed all the music using Ableton and the middleware software "FMOD." The soundtrack for this game draws inspiration from beloved titles like Zelda, Stardew Valley, FEZ, and Hyper Light Drifter, known for their seamless integration of gameplay and music through adaptive scoring techniques.

Turning your passion into a career can be challenging and often goes unrecognized. However, those who embark on this journey understand and appreciate the difficulties it brings. These extra challenges have the power to make us stronger, wiser, and more creative. The ultimate goal is to earn a living by being true to ourselves. Yet, the path to achieving this involves the process of self-discovery.

This... this is what Adam reminded me about. It's something that can easily slip from our minds in this whirlwind of a fast-paced world. But it's something we mustn't forget. It's essential.
