"I went to Gangnam Station yesterday to take care of some business and visited 'JoEun Music' in Seocho-dong to check out some equipment. After having a conversation with the owner and having lunch, I decided to purchase a headphone amplifier.





Originally, I was planning to buy a product from Mackie, but when I saw that the original price of around 40,000 to 50,000 won had increased to 70,000 won, I thought it would be better to spend a little more and get a better product, so I ended up buying the Alctron amplifier.

I work on music production using Logic, and often the recorded wave files, such as sample wave files, vocals, and instruments, fill up to almost maximum decibels (db). Continuously working this way, the headroom gets limited, making it difficult to adjust volume balance. Also, while playing, there are frequent volume spikes (high peaks).

So, I reduce the volume a lot while working. Since my monitor speakers are not of good quality and I mainly use headphones for production, no matter how much I increase the volume, it's always low. Therefore, I needed a headphone amplifier that can boost the volume without sacrificing sound quality, which led me to make this purchase."
